Cong Prima-10 Dew point analyzer

The CONG Prima-10 dew point analyzer is an automatic on-line hygrometer and a supporting secondary unit and is designed to measure the water dew point and hydrocarbon condensation temperature in natural gas.
This analyzer is designed to measure the dew point of water even in the presence of substances that condense earlier (glycols, methanol, higher hydrocarbons).

Description

The analyzer consists of an explosion-proof dew point transducer (1Ex d IIA T5 Gb) and a secondary unit. There are two designs for the secondary unit: a central control unit (CCU) for installation in a 19-inch instrument rack and an interface unit (IU) for attachment to a vertical panel. The IU/CCU provides registration and storage of measurement data, conversion of measured dew point values to moisture content (g/m³), and converts natural gas water dew point values from the measured pressure to the contract pressure. By connecting the IU/CCU to an external computer it is possible to monitor on-line dew point measurements in order to evaluate measurement reliability.
The transducer can be mounted directly onto a gas pipeline (submersible configuration) or connected to the pipeline through a gas preparation system with a filtration option for the removal of mechanical and aerosol contaminants.

Fields of application

  • gas
  • oil
  • chemical
  • power
  • metallurgical industry

Signature features

  1. Automatic diagnostics of the cooling mirror
The analyzer’s operational algorithm includes automatic diagnostics of the cooling mirror surface and automatic cleaning of the mirror before each measurement cycle.
  2. Increased difference between body temperature and the minimum mirror surface temperature.
The next-generation sensors integrated into the instrument’s innovative design make it possible to achieve temperature depression of 70 °C between the analyzer’s body temperature and the minimum temperature of the mirror’s surface at an operating pressure of 10 MPa. This is the best result among all known automatic chilled-mirror on-line hygrometers.
